POM SIGNED OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR HOUAY LANGE HYDROPOWER PLANT

On 22 April 2024, in the capital Vientiane (Laos), Houay LaNge Power Co., Ltd and POM signed the O&M service contract for the 60MW Houay LaNge Hydropower Plant.

The ceremony was attended by Laos officials and representatives from both parties. Representing the Laos government was Mr. Chansavang Boungnong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Mines. From Houay Lange Power Co., Ltd., Mr. Preecha Kanthamoon, Shareholders’ Representative, and Mr. Yang Xiangjun, Managing Director, were present. From PECC2, Mr. Nguyen Chon Hung, Chairman, along with the management of POM and other senior representatives from both sides, also attended the event.

Mr. Nguyen Chon Hung, in his speech, expressed that the O&M contract for the Houay LaNge Hydropower Plant is the first international contract of POM, marking a significant milestone in POM’s development, both in terms of scale and scope of operations, hence demonstrating the company’s dedication to enhancing its competitiveness in the O&M market in domestic and international markets.

Also at the event, the Representative of Houay LaNge Power Co., Ltd expressed the trust and appreciation for POM’s capabilities through various O&M projects. The project owner emphasized that POM not only delivers high expertise but also affirms its position in the industry, then confidently stated that, based on the established reputation and experience, POM would once again excel in its tasks and provide high-quality operation and maintenance services for these projects.

The collaboration between Houay LaNge Power Co., Ltd and POM brings benefits to both parties as well as contributes to regional development and the sustainable energy goals of Laos and Vietnam. With the role of providing O&M services for the entire plant, POM ensures stable, safe, and efficient operations for the Plant.
